Matchmakers" SOLE-MATE with the SHINEY SHOES"

Matchmaking tour…Off again, this time Dallas, Oklahoma City and Tulsa! Walking through La Guardia Airport on a VERY early Monday morning, I was caught dead in my tracks by a tall handsome man getting his shoes shined.

“Well why not?” I said to myself. I could use a little buffer- my Prada's were a little dusty! Must keep my appearance up as America’s top matchmaker.

“So where are you flying to that you need your shoes shined?” as I sat down next to him.

            Dallas”, he responded.

“Lucky you, we’ll be on the same flight! Are you a Dallas guy or a New York hottie?”

Of which he said, “I live in New York, traveling to Dallas on business?

“What do you do?” I asked. (My matchmaking radar hones in again)

“Probably the same thing you do.”

(A sarcastic guy challenging my humor this early in the morning.)  “You’ll never guess in a million years.”  I laughed.

“I'm intrigued”...

“Are you single or are you married?”

“Actually just recently engaged!”

And then I introduced myself…

“Why do I know that name?”

Passing over my card
I then asked, so who are you engaged to?

He explained that he was just recently engaged to a woman named Lauren___.

I was shocked, as soon as he said Lauren!

“Oh my God, I know her, and she is BEYOND AWESOME!!!!!!!

“So you're “the” Janis Spindel-Americas top matchmaker!”  I can now finally put a face to the stories!” He said.

It just so happens that Lauren had come to me a few years back for my help, and look at her now! Walking down the aisle with a beyond handsome INVESTOR! Tall, good looking, and educated!  Leave it to me and my RADAR to track him down!

Looks like my pep talks and books gave her a “step” in the right direction...she is going down the aisle with a tall, dark, handsome and successful HOTTIE!
