Matchmakers " CHIPS and SALSA"

Being the matchmaker I am, I was making my way around the Dallas Ritz, scouting for men of course! I spotted two young handsome men leaning up against the bar munching on peanuts. (Perfect for my matchmaking business)

“So what are you two handsome guys doing not speaking with any of the beautiful women in the bar?” I interrupted.

They both laughed.

“Actually he’s my lawyer- we’re having a meeting,” said the 6”4 gentlemen with the salt and pepper hair.

(I might add, that he was also a high end real estate developer- BINGO! My matchmaking radar hones in again)

Pretty casual meeting, I thought... “So are you a divorced lawyer?”

“Actually yes, I am.”

“And divorced with three or four kids? I asked.

“Ha-ha, yes I am, and I do have four, and John here has four as well.”

“What is this a Dallas thing?” Four kids!  And you’re divorced too I’m assuming.”

“Yes, well in the midst of getting a divorce, that’s why Bob is here!”

“Handles all your dirty work then, right?

“Something like that, and who handles yours?” he asked friskily.

And of course, as he prompted the question, my assistant Ashley comes into the conversation.

“So is this your daughter?”  Asked John.

(The annoying line we always hear.)

“Nope, I’m her assistant!”

After exchanging introductions, Ashley quickly noticed that “our lawyer” resembled someone quiet popular.

“You know who you look like, you look like that actor on that old TV show, CHIPS…Eric Estrada??” she asked.

Both laughing, as if they have heard this plenty of times before.

“Yup, I’ve gotten that many times, I’m chips, and this is my partner salsa.”

“Clever…I like that “chips and salsa”…my favorite!

These two had the looks, brains and career- the perfect Dallas duo for my matchmaking search!
