Being surrounded by breathtaking views of snow covered mountains and beautiful people! - Who could ask for anything more! My matchmaking service was about to begin!

Last week, I made my way to Aspen, Colorado to find one of Aspen’s wealthiest bachelors a wife!

My trip brought me multiple prospects for my client.  After meeting many beautiful and charming women on my bacholrette search, I certainly had quite a few to pick from.

Our first morning, we ate breakfast at the infamous Poppycocks, my assistant and I sat down next to an incredibly stunning women! (she had to be a model) Although… she was sitting with a man almost twice her age!

Of course as soon as he got up from the table, I moved in - asking her who he was and what their “deal” was?

Blushing and surprised at my blunt approach, she continued to explain that he was just a friend, a friend who was in love with her for years! (Sugar daddy? I said to myself) Melissa was a model in L.A., and a frequent visitor to Aspen, and surprisingly a single mother!  God did she look good for having two kids…

She was a stunning woman to say the least, but not the right one for my guy..NEXT!!

My matchmaking service began with my first night conducting interviews, I met a potential candidate!   Karen was a tall, blonde,Real Estate tycoon.  She was an intelligent single mother of two looking for a stable husband.  I liked this one.  She had the looks, intelligence and charm that would make any man think twice.  Of course with a package deal like this one, I immediately passed her information onto my client!  A future wife perhaps???

But one was not enough! He needed more options…so I continued my week long search.  In and out of stores, restaurants and of course my scheduled interviews, I met droves of women!  Some young, some old, some divorced, some with kids….whatever it may be- these were all great women looking for love… and they came to the right place! 

 In my week long search for the perfect match, I scoured Aspen’s hot spots; dining at  the nicest restaurants, shopping at the best stores and of course being at  the mountain during the height of the season! And let me tell you- I was pleasantly pleased with my findings; from hot ski instructors, bartenders, to your wealthy brokers- I met them all! Aspen was on fire last week (a beautiful 65 degrees to be exact)!

  My assistant and I were on cloud nine with the blizzard of men we were seeing! Everywhere you turned- we were greeted by incredibly handsome men all looking for love! Having to fight them off by the “3's"!! Hey I’m not complaining- it certainly was a breath of fresh air (literally). I was at the right place at the right time! Let the matchmaking begin!

Day 1

Our trip over to Aspen was awful, to say the least; a 6 hour delay at LaGuardia Airport, and a 4 hour, ($600 taxi ride) to Aspen at 4am!!! (But my client WILL be paying for that)
On our first night out, my assistant and I went to one of the trendiest restaurants in town; called Campo…and boy did we luck out! There were men EVERYWHERE!

Delirious from exhaustion, but  we made ourselves comfortable at the bar scoping the scene.yet it  turns out “the scene” was right in front of us!

“So I’m guessing in order to bartend here you have to be good looking?” I asked the bartender.

Interrupted by no other than the hottest Austrian in Aspen!   Ladies, no joke…He stood 6”4, ripped body and had long, dark wavy hair.

He sat right next to us, completely staring us down... which of course we didn’t mind!
 
“Do I know you?” he asked us in his incredible Austrian accent.

“I don’t believe so??…my assistant said casually. (Using that as her “queue” and diving right into the conversation).

“Can you blame her?”  His accent alone would make anyone fall head over heels.

Of course he blushed, moved his chair closer (a little too close) and began to talk about what he does best…skiing! Go figure he was a ski instructor by day, “après ski at night” haha...Not a bad combo!

Having no shame whatsoever (probably from being around me so often), she asked him, “So…does this mean I get a free skiing lesson while I’m here?”

And that was it…she had him!

As she did her “thing,” I kept myself busy with a few more of his friends who strolled in.   They were literally hovering over our chairs all night!

One of my favorites, whom I still keep in contact with, was Eric.  Eric came in dressed to impress, wearing a buttoned down shirt and a sharp blazer. He had that beyond handsome Richard Gere look …wow was I in heaven!

He immediately offered us drinks…we were on an hour and a  half of sleep,so  we’re not exactly drinking, but thought what the heck

I found out that he is a well known figure in town, proving himself to be extremely articulate, funny, and incredibly handsome; although he was divorced with children, and of course looking for love in all the wrong places; that’s what happens when you catch your wife with the mechanic!  Poor guy...

Day 2

Unfortunately, not everyone can be as charming and thoughtful as Eric and Chris...  On our second night, I spotted a strikingly young, handsome man without a wedding band!

He had the looks of a movie star and a smile that could kill... it was clear I needed to know his story.

Since I was wrapped up with interviews, I immediately had my assistant chase after him… We couldn’t let this one go!

“Is this seat taken?” she said in front of a group of older guys. 

“Of course not, please sit down.”

Conversation continued, and of course all eyes were on her. Young attractive, girl complimenting a group of older guys…they were putty in her hands- all 10 of them!

But as the conversation continued, she noticed that the one guy she was chasing after, lets call him “Brian”, had wandering eyes…to almost every woman who walked in!

Discouraged?  Maybe a little at first, but she needed to know more. No wedding band…week vacation with a bunch of guys. And wandering eyes to say the least!!!!

So, of course she asked his friend, Justin what the deal was! (That’s another story. I’ll get to that in minute)

Just what we all thought…42 years old, married, three kids,and  a gorgeous wife!  Being the bold person that I am, I immediately joined his party after my sessions, and got first hand what this Brian character was really all about…long story short, CHEATS- not my kind of guy!

Day 3

Moving on… (Or backwards if you will). Let’s get back to the hero of the story…..Justin.

 Now its not as if I didn’t notice Justin…because I certainly did…I notice everyone!  He was softer spoken than our “Brian the charmer.”  But sometimes, the shy ones are the right ones.  Like Brian, Justin has two kids and was vacationing with “the guys” in Aspen.  But, unlike Brian he was DIVORCED and willing to tell the truth! He is a handsome, successful father of two, visiting Aspen to relax, not prey on young women! And so ripe and ready to meet the right women after being on the dating treadmill for two years!

This was my kind of guy….and guess what lunch is already on the calendar, because he is from New York!

Typical, I went for women and found tons of men!….besides the very handsome Aspenites…  Men from Boston - California - Houston- New York and even Bermuda, it was “SNOWING MEN” from every city…

So as soon as I get home, I run right to the office, check my message pad, and Murphy’s Law- another Aspen guy!!!   He’s a 50 year old divorced man with twins and obviously looking for the perfect wife!....

About face Aspen…here I come, but traveling “private” this time! TOTALLY DONE WITH the "commercial "flying at least to Aspen!
